About
I'm Ellie, a passionate Chemistry teacher based in Wandsworth/Putney, with over six years of classroom experience across all key stages, including five years at one of London's leading independent schools, Godolphin and Latymer. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry and a PGCE from King's College London, and I teach Chemistry from Year 7 to Year 13, as well as Biology and Physics at KS3.
My motivation comes from ensuring students meet and even exceed their potential, with 12+ years of private tutoring experience, I've supported many students to achieve Grade 9s and A*s, including those initially predicted much lower. I've also helped students place at Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, UCL, and top medical schools. On top of subject support, I offer UCAT prep, interview coaching, and targeted exam technique support.
Every lesson is tailored to the individual student, their goals, strengths, and target areas. I make Chemistry engaging and accessible, using clear explanations and proven teaching strategies that lead to real progress. I've worked with students of all abilities, including those with access requirements, and I genuinely care about building confidence and a love of the subject alongside great results.
I offer flexible pay as you go sessions, intensive holiday revision programmes, and both in person and online tuition. I'm always happy to chat about putting together a student specific plan, to help each student reach their potential!

How we verify these
Each imported review went through admin review. The tutor proved ownership of the First Tutors profile via one of two paths:
