With almost 30 years of teaching experience across UK, US, NZ, Australian, and the well regarded International Baccalaureate curricula, I bring a genuinely global perspective to how children learn best — shaped by classrooms, leadership roles, and school systems on multiple continents.

Throughout my career, I've held a range of senior leadership positions, including Head of Literacy and Phonics, Head of Science, Head of Early Years, Head of Forest School. Each of these roles gave me a different lens on how children develop — from the building blocks of early reading, through scientific curiosity, to the confidence that comes from hands-on, outdoor learning. I've also served as School Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and Staff Governor, roles that reflect the trust placed in me not just as a teacher, but as someone responsible for the wider wellbeing and safe development of children in my care.

As a Higher Order Thinking Lead, I specialise in project-based and conceptual learning — moving children beyond simply memorising facts and toward genuinely understanding ideas, making connections, and thinking for themselves. This is the same inquiry-based approach used within the IB Primary Years Programme, and it's one I bring into every session, whatever a child's age or starting point.

I help students build real confidence and a genuine love of learning, through engaging, carefully curated online tutoring — drawing on both academic rigour and a deep, practical understanding of how children actually grow.
