I am a qualified Maths teacher currently lecturing in GCSE Maths and Aeronautical Engineering, with degrees in both Aerospace Engineering and Teaching.
Tutees tend to fall into the following 3 categories:
- needing advanced help to reach full potential and achieve grade 7/8/9,
- predicted a borderline pass or fail at school and needing help to secure a pass,
- failed at first attempt and needing assistance with retake.
N.B. I have also become popular with boarding school students who use the online tuition service I offer.
I have a proven track record with all of the above, and have a huge stock of examining body approved resources and worksheets specific to individual topics in the syllabus.

Tutoring Approach
My usual approach for preparing a student to score as highly as possible in GCSE exams is to work together in attempting past paper after past paper. Doing this not only gets the student very familiar and experienced with what to expect in the exam, but also flags up areas of weakness

My son has an EHCP and needed extra help to get a pass in maths. Ed was brilliant and my son started to feel much more confident about maths. He got his GCSE results this week and passed maths! I would certainly recommend Ed.

He found Ed ready easy to work with and the sessions were organized, following past papers and then focusing on areas where this were unclear. Ed helped my daughter between her mocks and actual GCSEs to secure the grade she needed in Maths for entry to sixth form. She also ended up exceeding her predicted grade in science which I am sure was partially due to technique/formulae taught. Ed was always professional and helpful. I highly recommend.
