With 17 years of teaching experience across secondary education, I specialise in GCSE and A-Level English and Psychology, as well as KS2 SATs and 11+ preparation. Throughout my career, I have helped students of all abilities build confidence, improve rapidly, and achieve results they didn’t think were possible.

My teaching style is engaging, supportive, and highly tailored to each student. I believe that success comes from building both subject knowledge and self-belief, so lessons are designed to be challenging, encouraging, and enjoyable. Whether a student needs help securing a pass, aiming for top grades, preparing for entrance exams, or developing confidence in reading and writing, I adapt lessons carefully to suit their individual needs and learning style.

As an experienced classroom teacher and tutor, I have extensive knowledge of exam specifications, mark schemes, and the skills needed to succeed in high-pressure assessments. I focus heavily on exam technique, critical thinking, vocabulary development, and helping students communicate ideas clearly and confidently.

I am passionate about making learning meaningful and inspiring students to see their own potential. Many of my students and parents describe my lessons as motivating, calm, and transformative, with noticeable improvements not only in grades but also in confidence and independence.
