I worked for many years as a solicitor, specialising in criminal defence and prosecution. It was whilst practising I found my love for sharing that knowledge and experience to help others in their legal studies. I worked as a legal trainer and then as Head of Law Programmes for a large professional development company before starting tutoring A Level Law.

I now tutor both AQA and Cambridge International exam boards and have done for several years. I work both as a tutor providing the full syllabus on both exam boards, mainly to home educated learners, but also as a tutor to support those in school who want the extra support, practice or feedback to help build confidence, knowledge and technique.

I would describe myself as approachable, caring and passionate about giving the best I can to learners. I like to make what we learn relevant and interesting, not just to exams, but to real life as I find it really helps bring the subject to life, but also helps with remembering the cases and principles.

Students who require a different approach or a more supportive approach are a particular interest and speciality for me. I have significant experience working with neurodiverse students, in fact my husband and both children are neurodiverse! It is important that everyone has the opportunity to flourish in subjects such as law. This experience also helps me to approach things from a different angle if necessary and beneficial.

My sessions are structured but engaging and together we work as a team to ensure that you are able to do your best.
