Ms Gisela M.

Gisela Meyer was born in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

Gisela studied piano with side subject cello and piano accompaniment in Frankfurt, Weimar and at the GSMD, London, obtaining an undergraduate qualification for Instrumental/Vocal teaching (piano 1st study and cello 2nd study), a postgraduate diploma for piano and a Mmus in Performance from the GSMD, London.

Gisela took casual singing lessons during her studies, and acquired further knowledge through her accompanist work. In 2006 she took her Grade 8 (Guildhall, with Honours - without a teacher). From 2014-2022 she progressed to professional singing, studying privately with Jessica Cash, former professor of the GSMD, London.

Gisela is freelancing as pianist, accompanist and soprano and teaches various musical subjects privately and at the City Lit in London.

She performs regularly in concerts as soloist, accompanist and in chamber ensembles as a pianist and singer. In summer 2025, she was booked as pianist for a promotional video shot for Genshin Impact which included the London symphony orchestra and the singer Aurora.Since 2020, she started performing as a Singing Pianist and now includes classical songs in her solo recitals, accompanying herself.

Gisela teaches children from age 6 (piano/cello) or from age 10 (singing) and also loves teaching adults of all levels. Gisela's Singing training was classical and she is happy to teach songs from other genres, but can't offer specialist techniques such as belting.

Lessons are tailored to each student and repertoire is discussed with everyone personally. There are lots of tips on how to make practice fun and methods on how to learn pieces as quickly as possible.
