Hello I'm Hannah and I live near Liverpool. I qualified as a teacher in 2012 and I have been teaching for 14 years with 7 years in year 2. In the last few years I have taught from nursery up to year 9 with a focus on preparing children for their SATs in year 2 and 6. I have tutored children from reception class up to key stage 3 and many children who will be completing their SATs in year 6. I have tutored students from all over the world to allow them to keep up with the UK National Curriculum along with students who are coming to the UK and want to catch up with the curriculum .
My real passion is maths, I have an A level in maths and have also studied it as part of my degree. During my teaching career I have taught maths to children aged 4-14 and seen the progression and links that are made in each year group. I love to be able to build confidence in children which is key to supporting their learning in all subjects.
During my career I have been trained to deliver the RWI phonics programme and have also used other phonics programmes to gain results in a fun and interesting way.
I have prior experience tutoring children for the year 2 and year 6 SATs along with teaching maths up to key stage 3 and students from all over the world. My tutoring style is teaching in small steps and revisiting previous learning to ensure that children have the foundations in place to build strong subject knowledge and be able to think more independently with the skills that they have learnt.
I am currently offering online lessons as well as supplying learning resources where appropriate.
