I am a classically trained musician, living and working in Wales, with many years of experience in teaching music and languages (German and ESOL). My studies included piano, wind instruments, conducting, and composition, as well as musicology/music research and music management. I have a particular interest in 19th-century music. As a "hobby," I collect and restore harmoniums and American organs, which I also use in concerts.

Educating/training/inspiring the next generation has always been part of my musicianship. I see performing (which I love) and handing on my knowledge as part and parcel of the same thing, and not at all separate. My main focus ATM is on Adult beginners and re-starters. Younger learners are also welcome.
My teaching style is always tailored to the individual student, no two lessons will be the same. According to my students, my greatest skill is to present even challenging material in a clear, easy and fun way. Of course! I really do have fun, and enjoy teaching.
My proudest moments as a teacher have always been when my students achieved their goals. Their success is my success!

I teach all recorders (S/A/T/Bass), ocarina (standard 12 hole), tin whistle, piano/keyboard/organ, NUVO Windstar instruments easy access instruments, lap harp/lyre harp, tongue drum (SEN colour system).
