About
My name is Oli, and I am an experienced secondary school teacher with over 12 years of classroom teaching experience. I currently serve as Head of History and Politics and am also Head of Geography at my school. Alongside my full-time teaching role, I have been providing private tuition for the past eight years, helping students achieve their academic goals and build confidence in their studies.
I have extensive experience teaching students from Year 7 through to Year 13, including GCSE and A-Level courses. Throughout my career, I have worked with learners of all abilities and backgrounds, including Gifted and Talented students, those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), and students for whom English is an Additional Language (EAL). This has enabled me to develop a flexible and personalised approach to teaching that meets the needs of every learner.

We were so lucky to find Oliver. His credentials speak for themselves, you really will not find better and no wonder he is a Head of Department. My daughter has been taught History by Oliver and I know he also teaches Geography, no doubt to the same standard. He has an innate understanding of teenagers, is a charismatic communicator with a warm manner abd thoroughly knows his subject. He teaches GCSE to my daughter, but I know he also teaches A levels in various other subjects. Outstanding.

Oli is such a great history Tutor and has great knowledge of the exam technique. He started tutoring my son at the beginning of year 11 . History was his weakest subject and Oli helped him to improve his grade significantly. My 18 year old son has been working with Oli now for about 9 months, predominantly on History A' Level but also some Politics. Oli is enthusiastic, committed, reliable and encouraging. He is adaptable, both in terms of timing of lessons, and content, and has been very supportive, suggesting that my son would benefit from additional time in exams. This recommendation came within a day of my son's school teacher saying the same. Oli has also been very helpful in guiding me in how to get the assessment done for the extra time. My son does not believe in himself or his abilities, and I believe that working with Oli has given my son more confidence - or least more of a path to follow. I highly recommend Oli.
