Amy Fischer
Friendly, Upbeat Maths Tutor for KS2, KS3, GCSE - Develop Mastery and Confidence!
About
Hi, I'm Amy, and I love to help math click for students! Whether it's fractions, ratios, or geometric proofs, I believe that math is more than following a process. It's about understanding the patterns, concepts, and ideas that make math come alive. I offer one-on-one tuition online with sessions designed to help your child master new concepts and develop their confidence.
I have a BSc in Applied Mathematics and an MA in Education, but on top of my degrees I have first hand experience teaching one-to-one and in small groups - every thing from maths to nature study to science. As a home educator of six-plus years, I know that children flourish when given support that is tailored to their needs. Providing this support is at the heart of my tutoring practice and every single session I provide.
With a background in education, I also aim to help students learn how to study more effectively and efficiently. If your student is getting close to exams, I can help them develop study strategies that will help them prepare well and do their best in exams.
