About
I'm Sarah, a current Year 4 primary school teacher with over 11 years of teaching experience, offering personalised tutoring in maths, English, phonics and reading for children aged 5–11 in west London.
My experience includes seven years teaching in UK primary schools and four years teaching English as an Additional Language (EAL) in South Korea. Throughout my career, I've worked with children of all abilities and learning needs. I've supported many pupils to overcome learning barriers, grow in confidence and make lasting progress.
I believe children learn best when they feel happy, supported and challenged. I tailor every lesson to each child's individual needs, using practical resources and interactive activities to keep learning engaging and effective. I strive to create a positive, encouraging environment where children feel confident to ask questions, learn from mistakes and celebrate their progress. My aim is not only to help children make strong academic progress, but also to nurture confident, independent learners who enjoy learning.

Sarah has been giving weekly tutoring sessions to my 8-year-old daughter for the past 4 months. They work on both English and math, using a mix of materials, adapted to the level of the student. Sarah is patient and friendly and is creating a positive learning environment. I have seen huge progress in my daughter’s confidence form the start, which in turn made her more engaged with her learning at school and her homework. Being a primary school teacher herself, Sarah has a strong understanding of the school curriculum.
