About Me: I'm Tom, a science educator with over a decade of experience helping students build the knowledge and confidence they need to succeed. My sessions are calm, purposeful and always built around the individual in front of me.

Teaching Experience: Over the years I've worked with students at every stage of secondary and post-secondary education, from early GCSE preparation through to A Level and beyond. That breadth has shown me that no two learners are the same, and that effective teaching begins with genuinely understanding how a student thinks.

I previously served as Head of Department at a respected private tutorial college in Bath, leading a team delivering high-quality, results-focused tuition. That role sharpened my understanding of what students need most in the months before exams: clarity, structure and a tutor who holds them to a high standard while keeping sessions productive and positive.

Approach to Tutoring: I believe confidence is the foundation for real progress. A student who understands the material but doubts themselves will underperform. My job is to close both gaps at once.

Every session is built around what actually earns marks, and I take the time to build genuine rapport with each student. Real progress only happens when someone feels supported and clear on what's expected of them. That's the environment I aim to create every time.
