I am a highly experienced science teacher with 25 years plus teaching Chemistry (specialist), Physics and Biology up to GCSE level and beyond, with a comprehensive subject knowledge.  I have 10 years plus tutoring experience, and 10 years’ ongoing experience as an Examiner for main exam boards, marking Chemistry papers and working with mark schemes.

For exams, the requirements of the exam board are paramount. I prepare students how to revise most efficiently and structure their answers to score maximum marks. I inspire students and have high expectations and teach according to their needs and provide full support to achieve the best grade for them.

As a tutor, I have sound knowledge of the AQA, EDEXCEL, OCR, WJEC, CIE specifications and board up to GCSE level, including IGCSE.

I am a versatile tutor with 10 years plus experience in teaching comprehensive, independent, boarding, and overseas school students online, during a lesson we review exam papers and focus on the questions to highlight the necessary skills and knowledge needed to attain higher grades. Once we have identified gaps in subject knowledge we can then focus on specific skills and topics to build confidence and understanding.

Lessons are personally tailored to student’s needs agreed goals and potential so that the best positive outcome is achieved. As part of the broader plan, we go through range of past papers whilst guidance and feedback are provided to understand the questions and how to structure answers and clearing out any misconceptions.
