I’m a qualified Science teacher with 10 years’ tutoring experience, specialising in GCSE and iGCSE Science. I’m also an Edexcel iGCSE Physics examiner, so I bring a strong understanding of what examiners are looking for and how students can turn their scientific knowledge into marks.

I teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics at GCSE and iGCSE level, including Pearson Edexcel International GCSE, Combined Science and Separate Sciences. I also teach Edexcel iGCSE Human Biology and A-level Biology.

My lessons are designed to make difficult science feel manageable. I break topics down clearly, identify gaps in understanding and then build confidence through carefully chosen questions, exam practice and past-paper work. I place particular emphasis on exam technique: understanding command words, interpreting unfamiliar questions and knowing how to construct answers that meet the mark scheme.

I work with students with a wide range of starting points. Some need help getting back on track after losing confidence; others are aiming for the highest grades and want more challenging exam preparation. I also work extensively with homeschool and home-educated students, including families who are navigating iGCSE courses independently.

Lessons are tailored to the individual student rather than following a one-size-fits-all programme. We can work systematically through a specification, concentrate on particular topics, prepare for upcoming exams or use past papers to identify exactly where marks are being lost.

My aim is not simply to help students memorise more science. I want them to understand what they are learning, feel confident tackling unfamiliar questions and go into their exams knowing how to show what they know.
