I am a qualified teacher with experience teaching History, Politics and Sociology across secondary and sixth form level. As Whole School Citizenship Lead and accredited Parliament Teacher Ambassador, I am committed to developing students' critical thinking and political literacy.

I hold a joint honours degree in History and Politics, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (with QTS). I am looking to support students in improving their grades and deepening their learning - working with the student to define what "success" looks like to them. I will work with the student to develop a plan on improving their grade, whether that involves working with the student to consolidate core knowledge and refine revision techniques to secure a pass, or to work on essay structure and wider knowledge to help achieve the top grades.

Lessons can be as brief or long as the pupil requires, but I would encourage bookings to be between 50 to 90 minutes.

In order to assist me in answering to the best of my ability, it would be appreciated if your initial message could include:

• The exam board and, where relevant, optional topics which the pupil is studying.

• Their current year of study, and current academic performance (e.g. predicted grades, recent mock exam results etc...)

• What you would like the focus of the tutoring sessions to be (e.g. going over core content, developing exam technique, extending knowledge) and any other aims or goals.

• How long you would like lessons to last

• Any other relevant information.
