Hi, I'm Andrew - a PE / Sport Science tutor with 5+ years' teaching experience and a First-Class Honours degree in BSc Applied Sport & Exercise Science.
I graduated in 2021 with 100% A grades & award for best dissertation project, and have since worked with hundreds of students across the UK, helping them achieve their academic goals - from those starting GCSEs, up to those completing Master's. I have extensive knowledge & experience in sport, performance, health and exercise + hold certifications as a PT, Gym Instructor and Nutritionist. With over 5 years of tutoring experience and having attained A grades myself throughout school & university, I understand the demands of the UK education system - and can teach you systematic approaches to revision, exams and assignments, to achieve high grades consistently.

Andrew is my son’s A-level PE tutor and demonstrates strong subject knowledge which he communicates clearly and effectively. Importantly, his focus goes beyond understanding content - he emphasises how to apply that knowledge in an exam context to maximise marks. His guidance on structuring answers and responding to exam questions has given my son a much clearer approach to tackling papers. Andrew is working with my son to prepare for PE A-level resit in the summer and he is proving to be very professional and an extremely positive influence on my son's learning. Andrew is knowledgeable, engaged and proactive in suggesting approaches to learning. His coaching of my son in study habits is also well received. Andrew helped my son who was studying for a Level 3 Extended Diploma Qualification. Andrew provided excellent help across a number of areas, he was able to shed light with his interpretation of the vague assignment briefs and was able to give good insight into the marking scheme. He provided sound advice on the structure and content of assignments. He provided excellent reviewing, feedback and advice on improvements that could be made for the assignments and provided advice on additional research that could be done to enhance the work to distinguish it from others. In addition Andrew was as flexible as he could be for session times, flexible about session objectives, flexible for accommodating extra sessions and is a general all round descent person.

Andrew is helping my son with A level PE (edexcel) and particularly the anatomy and physiology part of the curriculum, which he struggles with. Andrew has been great at focusing on the topics that my son has done in class that week and working towards his assessments. In fact, they worked on the cardiovascular system this week and my son said that without Andrew's help he would not have felt as comfortable and confident going into the assessment.
