About

I am an experienced secondary teacher currently working in alternative provision in East Sussex, teaching Geography and Maths to students with a wide range of needs, including SEND and SEMH.

I graduated from King’s College London with a 2:1 in BA Geography and completed my PGCE in Secondary Geography in 2019. Before teaching, I spent eight years working as a Youth Leader for a charity supporting disabled children and young adults.

Experience

I have taught Geography from KS3 through to GCSE and A-Level, previously worked as a Head of Geography, and achieved recent student outcomes in the top 5% nationally. I have also worked as an AQA Geography examiner and received a Royal Geographical Society scholarship during my teacher training.

Alongside Geography, I now teach Foundation GCSE and Functional Skills Maths. My current role has given me extensive experience supporting students with SEND, EHCPs and SEMH needs, including those who have struggled to engage in mainstream education.

Approach

My tutoring is calm, clear and adapted to the individual.

For Geography, I support students from KS3 to A-Level with subject knowledge, case studies, geographical vocabulary, revision and exam technique.

For Maths, I focus mainly on Foundation GCSE and Functional Skills, using clear explanations, worked examples and step-by-step scaffolding to address gaps in knowledge and build confidence.

My aim is to make learning manageable, purposeful and accessible, while helping students become more independent over time.
