ALITTLE BIT ABOUT ME...

I am a friendly, approachable, and dedicated Geography teacher and Study Skills Coach who genuinely enjoys building strong relationships with my students and their families.

As a former successful Curriculum leader for Geography, Curriculum Leader for Humanities and Specialist Leader for Education I have a proven track record record of achieving excellent examination results through creating and delivering outstanding educational lessons, resources and learning activities that meet the needs of all learners in UK and international students.

I work remotely and have a real love for my subject and I take part of the academic year to travel and visit amazing places that you will read and learn about un your geography classrooms all the while continuing to teach you online.

MY APPROACH

My approach is supportive but structured. I create a calm, positive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their confidence without pressure. I’m patient, very organised encouraging, and consistent, which helps students stay motivated and engaged over time.

I believe that trust and good communication are at the heart of successful tutoring, and I take the time to really get to know each student, their strengths, their challenges, and how they learn best.

I have also built a library and hub of resources for many Exam Boards - these include exam support, extra reading materials and also knowledge and understanding for topics that you study.

THE SUPPORT

I also believe that learning shouldn’t be limited to just the lesson itself. I offer ongoing support throughout the week, whether that’s answering questions, reviewing work, or helping students stay on track with their studies. This continuous support helps build independence while ensuring students never feel stuck or overwhelmed.

Alongside this, my experience as a classroom teacher and in a Teaching and Learning leadership role means I understand how to guide students effectively towards their goals, while keeping their wellbeing and confidence at the centre of everything I do. I also offer study skills support, to help guide you how best to learn and study for your exams, this is included in your support lessons with me. So this is a WIN-WIN for you.
