About
Geography & Sociology have always been my passion & life! I have been teaching for 31 years now (yes despite the youthful appearance) and as an Edexcel exams marker until very recently (its the conflict of marking ones own students paper that put me off), I am all about helping my students develop the love for the subjects and in giving them the knowledge, skills & expertise to help them excel when it comes to the NEA coursework & the exams!
Please have a look at my feedback as that speaks for itself. So what can you expect when you come work with me? (yes, I will work with you and also work you hard in the process!):
1) All your worries about the technical content answered and also I will point out why understanding how the Global Ocean Conveyor Belt or why the Equality Act for Sociology, for example actually matters so we can include this in our answers and bring our evaluation sections in essays to levels that examiners dream of seeing.
2) Techniques on how you can actually apply all the knowledge you will be learning in the exams to ensure this gets translated through even in pressured, exam conditions.
3) A safe space to ask all your Soci & Geog questions knowing there will be no judgement and instead, you will leave feeling like a million dollars when you understand it all!
4) Regular updates to Mum & Dad as getting you to absolutely excel and perform to the best of your ability becomes my worry now & not theirs!
5) Nothing is to be feared, only understood. My role will be to empower you to understand it all as then there will be more Geography & Sociology geeks like me in the world!! :)

Sunita has been beyond fantastic . She is warm and friendly and somehow manages to help my daughter find enthusiasm for her Geography A’level, which she had been severely lacking. It’s been great to see her grow in confidence , to have some clarity and to actually get excited about work. My daughter always comes back from her lessons with a smile on her face and is completely focused - this has fed through to her other subjects too. Sunita is a brilliant teacher and my 15year old Son has found her lessons so helpful. Sunita has a very engaging style - making Geography interesting, easy to digest and my Son said she is one of the best tutors he has had. I can see how enthusiastic she is and her vast experience and knowledge of the subject and the exam papers really help to focus my Son's learning. She knows how to tackle the exam papers and is able to teach my Son what examiners are looking for. My son leaves his tutorials with Sunita inspired and more confident about his chosen subject for university. After these sessions he enthuses about the material covered: the tutorials are not focussed on rote learning, nor merely exam material, but are clearly taught by someone who aims to share her knowledge and understanding. Sunita has filled in missing material, has illustrated how topics link, and is making my son more confident about achieving the high grade he requires for his university place. I can't thank her enough.

Following the initial few lessons my daughter has had with Sunita, she is very happy with the progress being made. Sunita explains things in a clear and concise way and ensures that a topic is fully understood before moving on to something new.
