I am a highly qualified and experienced teacher and tutor of economics with a background in examining for two major exam boards. My tutoring approach is friendly, thorough, and professional, designed to help students feel supported and confident in their learning. MA in Education and MA in Philosophy.
With extensive experience as the Head of Economics at a leading independent school, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my tutoring services. Jonathan was excellent helping my son during half term with his A level Economics. Jonathan made the sessions interactive with a much needed focus on exam technique alongside testing my son's knowledge. Kian is finding the sessions with you really helpful. He doesn’t give much info, but he comes out feeling good after each session and always says is been very helpful. He still feels Economics is his hardest subject and finds it very difficult, but he’s determined to get at least a B so all help you can give him will be great fully received. Exam question practice and hints and tips will be great for him.

Jonathan taught my son GCSE Economics between Jan - May 2023, to provide extra support prior to GCSE exams. Following my son's Mock 1 Exams in Dec '22, I felt that his Economics essay questions needed more guidance from an experienced teacher like Jonathan. We already noticed performance improvement during my son's Mock 2 Exams in 2023, where my son's Mock 2 marks were a couple of points shy off a grade 9. Jonathan explains concepts well and gave continuous feedback on practice exam papers. He is organised, flexible and above all, a teacher who cares about his students.

Jonathan has been an amazing tutor for my son. My son was struggling through his a level Economics and in 6 months Jonathan has turned things around for him. He feels very confident and prepared for his exams. Jonathan is a very approachable but very prepared and experienced tutor.
