Hello, I`m Louise, a PGCE qualified English Teacher and 1:1 tutor. I have been teaching successfully for 8 years and for 7 years as a professional tutor. I have a first class honours degree in English from the University of Exeter and I love sharing my knowledge and passion for my subject.
At reasonable rates I can offer tailored lessons and personalised learning plans to suit a student needs. I have taught people from a variety of different backgrounds, abilities and experience, and specialise in final year GCSE skills, offering key exam strategies and preparation for AQA, OCR, Edexcel & iGCSE exam boards.
Key Literature texts include: A Christmas Carol, An Inspector Calls, Romeo & Juliet, Macbeth, Animal Farm, Jane Eyre, Pride & Prejudice, Jekyll & Hyde, To Kill a Mockingbird, Whale Rider, Love & Relationship/Power & Conflict poetry and Unseen Poetry.
I love English as a subject and I am keen to make a tutoring session with me a rewarding and positive experience. My approach is student-centred and communicative, where learning is enjoyable as well as a steady progression towards improvement. My aim is to help my students gain confidence and to achieve success.
