About Me
I am an avid chess player with over 9 years of experience in teaching chess, alongside experience of competing in numerous competitions. Currently, I proudly represent Team England in international matches, testing and sharpening my skills against global opponents.
Teaching Experience & Approach
I am a patient, friendly, and dedicated tutor with a passion for helping students improve their game. For your complete peace of mind, I hold an Enhanced DBS certificate for both adults and children. I am also on their automated update service. Sessions will principally be focused on Chess Opening Principles, Middlegame Tactics, and Endgame Tactics. Relevant material will be provided.
My teaching background includes:
One-on-One Tutoring: Conducted countless personalised online chess classes.
School Experience: Taught chess alongside a fellow tutor at a local school, and have worked in mainstream and SEN (Special Educational Needs) schools in different capacities. I also work as an exam invigilator during exam seasons at two different schools in London.
Lesson Formats
Interactive Online Lessons: No travel required! I offer a highly interactive online teaching method. All you need is a free account on a chess app and a screen-sharing platform like Google Meet or Microsoft Teams.
In-Person Lessons: I am also perfectly happy to teach in person if you prefer a traditional face-to-face environment.
Competitive Highlights (Team England)
In my teens, I competed in over-the-board tournaments. Since last year, I have been representing Team England in international online matches. Here is a brief overview of the match results:

Mudassir has been exactly what we were looking for. He is very professional and knowledgeable guy. Very friendly and patient.
