About
I am a highly experienced and fully qualified mathematics teacher with over 15 years of teaching and tutoring experience in the United Kingdom. I hold a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), and I have taught students across KS2, KS3, GCSE, IGCSE, A-Level, and Further Mathematics in both school and private tutoring settings.
Alongside my classroom teaching experience in secondary schools and sixth form colleges, I have delivered more than 50,000 hours of one-to-one tutoring to students of all abilities and backgrounds. Over the years, I have successfully supported students preparing for GCSE and A-Level examinations, 11+ and entrance exams, university preparation, Olympiad and competition mathematics, and advanced mathematics courses. Many of my students have achieved top grades, significantly improved their confidence, and gained places at competitive schools and universities.
My teaching approach focuses on building deep conceptual understanding, logical thinking, and strong problem-solving skills rather than simple memorisation. I believe every student can succeed in mathematics with the right support, structure, and encouragement. I adapt lessons carefully to each student’s individual learning style, pace, and academic goals, creating engaging and supportive sessions that help students feel confident and motivated.
I am passionate about making mathematics accessible, enjoyable, and rewarding for every student. Whether helping a student overcome difficulties in foundational topics or stretching highly able learners towards top grades and advanced problem solving, I aim to create lessons that are clear, challenging, and inspiring.
