UCL MSci Chemistry Graduate & Grammar School Teacher

I am a University College London (UCL) Chemistry graduate (MSci), Royal Society of Chemistry Scholar, and qualified teacher with 10 years of experience across primary, secondary, and higher education settings. I currently teach chemistry at the top-performing boys` grammar school in the UK for GCSE science, where I maintain a 100% Grade 7+ track record with my year 11 students.

As an IB Chemistry specialist (HL/SL), I regularly guide students toward Oxbridge and top Russell Group destinations, offering support with challenging syllabus content, Extended Essay supervision, and IA moderation. However, my teaching extends to all abilities—drawing on my extensive background in SEN and SEMH settings, I focus on building core foundations, motivation, and academic confidence in every student I tutor.

My lessons are delivered using an effective digital setup. Working through live iPad annotation and shared digital notebook software, students receive clear, visual explanations of complex topics during the session and retain fully annotated notes and worked solutions afterwards. By combining extensive subject knowledge with structured problem-solving and targeted mark-scheme technique, I ensure students are thoroughly prepared for their exams.
