Combining a deep understanding of my subject with a wealth of teaching experience, I love helping students understand their subject, excel in it, and enjoy it - not only succeeding in exams, but mastering and enjoying their subject as well. By developing a thorough understanding of their subject as well as familiarity with exam questions and exam technique, I aim to help students grasp their subject in a way that makes sense to them, enabling both enjoyment and success in their studies.

As a student, I was in the top 7 students in the country for physics (UK International Physics Olympiad team reserve) and in the top 120 for maths (I qualified twice for BMO2). I achieved a first every year in my bachelor's plus master's degree at Cambridge University, and I continue to expand my academic understanding of what I teach. As a classroom teacher, I developed my schools' curriculums in both physics and maths, ensuring that content was taught in an engaging and logical way, tailored to the curriculum and to the needs of students. Now as a tutor I combine academic excellence with a nuanced understanding of how students learn, to help my students succeed in their subjects in a way that works for them.

I offer bespoke maths, further maths, physics, and chemistry tuition tailored to the needs of my students, as well as training for the ESAT and TMUA exams, maths and physics challenges and olympiads, and university interview preparation. Typical lessons involve a mixture of exam questions coaching combined with interactive teaching on areas students find difficult, however I am happy to adjust my approach to students’ needs. I am enhanced DBS checked and I offer a free taster lesson.
