I am an experienced teacher, study skills tutor and dyslexia assessor with over 30 years’ experience working across primary, secondary, further and higher education. I have extensive experience teaching A Level Psychology, supporting students of a wide range of abilities and backgrounds, and have been an AQA Psychology examiner since 2004, giving me a detailed understanding of examination requirements and assessment. Alongside Psychology, I have taught English, ESOL, English for Academic Purposes (EAP), literacy and study skills to children, young people and adults, both in the UK and internationally. Since 2014, I have worked independently as a dyslexia specialist, providing one-to-one literacy and study skills support to students aged 6–16, alongside providing Specific Learning Difficulty (SpLD) assessments to children in the local community. I also provide specialist one-to-one study skills support to university students through the Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA), developing personalised strategies for reading, academic writing, organisation, revision and time management.
