If so, then I'm the tutor for you. As a tutor for 15 years across all exam boards, I know exactly what you need to do to improve your answers.
You will learn how to assess the question and set the criteria to achieve the top level answers.
You will learn how to properly assess sources and how to evaluate historians interpretations according to what the exam board expects.
You'll learn how to write an excellent conclusion which achieves the judgment needed for high levels.
I work mainly via Zoom, but am happy to see local students in my dedicated study at home.
Sessions are 50 minutes and I will spend time outside that preparing for our session.

Previous succeses:
* 2025 - A achieved from a C grade - student now reading History at Edinburgh, GCSE students improved 2 grades, including a young lady who went from a 5 to an 8 (now an A-Level student of mine).
* Student improved from a D to an A
* Two students achieved 100% in Germany 1870 to 1945 exam.
2024 - A grade for an A-Level student and my methods assisted them in their other subjects, ensuring they achieved 2 other 'A' grades and secured their first choice at Warwick University.
2023 - All my A-Level sutdents achieved an 'A' grade, some from a D/C starting point.
2022 - As and A* at A-Level across 95% of my students with 5% achieving 'B' grades. 8s and 9s achieved at GCSE.

As our son approached his GCSE history exams, he was concerned about his essay writing technique. Antonia set a couple of essays for him which she then marked. Her approach was absolutely fantastic and perfect for our needs. Rather than 'meeting' online, they did everything remotely which helped enormously for us as time was of the essence. So our son wrote his essays in his own time (using the questions Antonia had carefully researched) and Antonia then marked them providing detailed notes on how the essays could be improved. This meant he went into the exams feeling much more confident. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending Antonia who was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and efficient, responding immediately to our enquiries and ensuring that the essays she set were entirely appropriate for the Board our son was sitting. Emailed Antonia a couple of 20 mark essay questions for GCSE history and within 24-36 hours she provided an amended essay and detailed report, explaining highlighted, changed or commented points. The report and comments were very helpful to my daughter in understanding the marking scheme and how she can improve her marks. This review will be based on using her service once so far. I'm a mature student who is currently doing an Access to HE (humanities) at college. One of my subjects is history and is my worst subject by far compared to English and sociology. I found the extra documents she added on top of my marked history essay helpful on how to improve on my next one, as I have never done history before, not even at GCSE. And my own history teacher is overworked and has little to no time to help. I have another history essay that I have to do and will use her services again.

I approached Antonia some weeks before my first A-Level History exam to improve the quality of my essays to the standard that would meet my targeted grade.
