About
I graduated from St Mary's University with a degree in Geography before completing my PGCE the following year. I have now been teaching for 12 years, including 8 years as a Head of Department, working across two schools in Surrey.
Having worked in both Ofsted-rated Special Measures and Good schools, I have experience supporting students from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities, developing strategies to help every student achieve their potential. I am currently working as an Assistant Headteacher.
Alongside my school leadership roles, I have been tutoring for 13 years and have supported over 100 students through GCSEs and A Levels.

My son has had three sessions with Lewis so far and is finding his sessions useful and is able to put his learning into practice during his Geography lessons. Lewis' teaching is at a level suitable to my son and i can see the confidence in my son grow in this subject, which he has been finding difficult.

Lewis has provided valuable practical feedback to my dyslexic son on how he can improve his A Level Geography exam techniques and this has already led to a drastic improvement in results between L6 end of year exams and internal resits this autumn. Lewis has parachuted in at the last minute to give my 18 yr-old a geography boost before the A level exams. He's friendly, knowledgeable and made a big effort to fit us in even though he's pretty booked up. He's very responsive which was much-appreciated given the proximity to exams. My son has found him really helpful and is looking forward to the next session. It's helping him feel calmer, more prepared and it's great to be able to get clarity on those things that he's realising are still a bit fuzzy.

Olga
Lewis is a very competent tutor, diligent and knowledgeable. He demands concentration from the pupil and have a lot of pictures and other resources. Ideal for preparation for exams at a higher level, GCSE and A Level. My 11y.o. was too young for this type of lesson and he would benefit more from a lecture-type lesson with pictures and interesting facts and less pupil participation as he knows close to nothing at this stage and has little to impart.
