We have, and still are, enjoying Wendy’s tutoring sessions. She has brought my daughter’s knowledge and confidence on so much, and we feel as though she’ll be heading back to school for her final year in the knowledge that she CAN do this and can even excel if she’s willing to putting some serious effort for Wendy. I began working with Wendy in December during year 13 where i was currently working at roughly a grade C/D in A-Level geography doing the edexcel course. I worked with Wendy up to my last exam in mid june and i think she made a huge difference, she was amazing, she was clear, thorough and talked me through everything really well. I would suggest to her to week before what i wanted to go over in the following session e.g. a topic or enquiry question and she would gather her own resources to go through with me during the session in which i would take notes from. She would talk through everything very clearly and answer all my questions. She explained things better than any teacher ever had done for me and i came away from those 6 months understanding more than i’d understood over the whole of my A-Level course, it was broken down for me and if i still didn’t understand we would go over it again and again until i got it. Closer to the exams we began going through practice questions and exam papers together. She taught me the perfect way to answer questions, how to structure my answers and general themes to talk about in every essay. I came out with a B grade overall with only a few marks off an A, i am so pleased and couldn’t have done it without her. I would 100% recommend.

We have been seriously impressed and privileged to have had Wendy as a Tutor for our daughter for her Geography A level. Wendy is an experienced Teacher who actually has a lesson plan each time. This is good practice but something which not all Tutors take time to do. Teaching towards an exam board syllabus and ensuring all the topics are covered. Wendy’s obvious passion for the subject is infectious and I wouldn’t be surprised if she is one of the ‘inspirational’ teachers who other children too will remember long after their formal education is over.
